@kdfrawg I get it when it's driven by cost of rent and living. Unfortunately many of my peers are getting their mummies to do their laundry and are basically parasitic.

@kdfrawg not at all. I struggle with it constantly. But that's why I have a psychologist too. Having said that, it took me ages to start seeing one again when I was working far too hard. But now that I have one, I also happen to have the right one. Thank god!
@kdfrawg yep. My dad comes from an unhealthy and conservative and less educated family. So he is the most educated, youngest and most progressive of his siblings by far
@kdfrawg yeah they do a great job and importantly they significantly cut down the bulk of the time consuming work. There might be tiny things that one needs to sort out oneself but the physical labour of sweeping and vacuum in and stuff is exhausting

@kdfrawg it's scary and sad to think that some of my colleagues still live at home in a pretty much parasitic fashion

@kdfrawg hah, yes, very true. As a doctor I see such an array of terrible dysfunction at all echelons of society. Most people are normal of course. But there seems to be no limit to the fuckedupness on the ends of the bell curves
@kdfrawg the dumb thing of course is that my mum being the sole breadwinner for a few years was always inevitable and expected because my dad is 5 years older than her.
@kdfrawg my mum is a GP working longer than full time hours and running the household. She's been making more money than him for a few years now. His narcissism and cultural makeup probably means he resents her at times. I hate it when he berates he for no good reason. And then he gets angry when I tell him to leave her alone and goes on and on and on about how we're ganging up on him.
