@jextxadore I think basically doctors are so narcissistic they think the rules don't apply to them
@jextxadore as my boss who is at the conference said to me "it's kind of terrible that doctors get their information from a tabloid and not actual journal articles or guidelines"
Another random transphobic comment "so I have a patient who's mtf transgender woman and we get these talks about transgender inclusion and bathrooms and all this… Stuff… Why can't she just be considered a normal woman not 'special'"
And I said "probably because people use the wrong pronoun and make a fuss when she uses the toilets and don't treat her like a regular woman?"
I think the person I have a crush on who I got vibes from has made a decision not to go there and honestly although it's slightly sad the situation I could get into would be very messy. So I think that's for the best.
"congratulations no one can tell you're trans now listen to what people say behind your back when they know"
So so far my holiday and being in NZ has been mostly amazing. Reminding me that Australia was never supposed to be permanent, and that really I need to head back here long term. Saw some people I haven't seen in many years too!
Conference has been mostly fun but yesterday was capped off by yet again hearing a series of transphobic rants about how telling children that trans and non binary exists will "confuse them" and mean that "6 year olds will get cross sex hormones".
Fortunately almost all the people i actually know are nice. And I got to spend time with my favourite boss who turns out to be kinda an awesome person, and old friends
