@kdfrawg while that is true, i'd rather my money (as a taxpayer) be spent on health, education and welfare than arms and wars and the military (within reason of course).

And honestly I think there needs to be some major major regulation when it comes to the unethical things that pharmaceutical companies to in terms of pricing - their excuse that it's to 'cover drug development' is not borne out by the evidence… these drugs are actually intentionally overpriced. and in private systems like the US, over-servicing and too-close relationships between insurers, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, doctors… yeah it's gross >_<
